Electricity for powering our homes is made in the power plant at the xx end of Ebeye.
To generate electricity, you need a fuel source, in Ebeye we currently use diesel.
The diesel is converted into mechanical energy that is used to operate the generator. Inside the generator, the diesel engine rotates a big magnet that is surrounded by coil wire. This movement creates a magnetic field that electrifies the wire, thus creating electricity.
The electricity leaves the generator and travels along conductor wires to homes and business across Ebeye
