A HAND OVER CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE THE COMPLETION OF THE EWSSP SCHOOL SANITATION PROJECT FOR SIX SCHOOLS ON EBEYE
Earlier this month, KAJUR held a Hand Over Ceremony with six Ebeye schools Parties to the EWSSP-School Sanitation Project 04: EUCC, GEM, SDA, Calvary, Jabro and Queen of Peace. Also present were the PIAC/GhD who manage the EWSSP on behalf of KAJUR and the AC Construction, a locally owned Company which won the bid for contracting the works required under the SSP.
At the outset during the Ceremony, General Manager Romeo Alfred welcomed all participants and congratulated everyone involved from the beginning of preparations to the completion of the project. “This was a vitally important project to assist schools help upgrade the sanitation systems and contribute to improved hygiene and reducing the rates of water-borne diseases on Ebeye.” The scope of work included inter alia construction of two new toilet blocks for two schools, the installation of new 2000gal water storage tank/stand, and water reticulation to connect new tanks to existing school salt water supply via a non-corrosive pressure pumps.
The Principals received and thanked KAJUR for supporting the schools through the EWSSP and agreed the work was successfully completed and were looking forward to their usage and perhaps other future projects with KAJUR.
